The following is a list of restaurants in Richmond and Columbia counties that have been inspected between June 7 and 13, accompanied by their scores and, in some cases, the health infractions that lowered those scores.

Inspector’s comments: “Observed handwashing sink in kitchen near bathroom in need of repair. Have handwashing sink repaired.”

“Observed several items stored without labels. Observed expired heavy whipping cream with 5/25/24 expiration date. Label food in storage appropriately. Discard of expired items and monitor expiration and use by dates closely.”

“Observed most recent inspection not posted. Post most recent inspection.”

Inspector’s comments: “Observed onions, green onions, shrimp, and fish not covered in the coolers. C/A: Store all foods covered.”

“Observed food stored on the floors throughout the kitchen, walk-in cooler, and walk-in freezer. Store all food items at least 6 inches off of the floor.”

“Observed scoops improperly stored inside rice and sugar. Ensure scoops are stored properly.”

“Observed dishes wet stacked. Allow dishes to properly air dry before stacking.”

“Observed buildup inside the vent/hood system. Clean vent/hood. Increase cleaning frequency. Person in charge stated service requested for cleaning has been submitted for next week.”

“Observed flies throughout the kitchen. Determine an approved method to deter and get rid of flies.”

Inspector’s comments: “Observed no certified food safety manager for the establishment. Obtain a CFSM ASAP.”

“Observed no signed employment health agreements. Ensure each employee reads, understands, and signs an agreement.”

“Observed sugar, rice, and baked beans w/out labels. Label all foods stored longer than 24 hours and all foods outside their original containers.”

“Observed an employee wearing a watch and no beard net during active food prep. Ensure no jewelry is worn on arms/wrists and employee wears beard restraint.”

“Observed wet nesting of clean dishes. Allow dishes to properly air dry before stacking.”

“Observed mice droppings inside the dry storage room. Clean up mice droppings and determine an approved method to get rid of and deter pests.”

Inspector’s comments: “Observed employee use his cell phone while wearing gloves and continue on with food prep immediately after. Repeat violation. Wash hands prior to food prep.”

“Observed several food items (shrimp, onions, bell peppers, beef) cold holding above 41 degrees F. Repeat violation. Cold hold at 41 degrees F or lower.”

“Observed Raid bug spray stored amongst cleaning agents. Repeat violation. Raid bug spray is not permitted for use in food establishments.”

“Observed scoop stored in sugar. Store scoops outside of food product itself.”
