Kate Middleton’s frail health has caused royal watchers to be concerned

Kate Middleton has left royal watchers concerned for her health after it was rumoured that she was suffering from bulimia, an eating disorder.

According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by the account @ExposingRoyals, the Duchess of Cambridge’s bandaged fingers sparked concern that she was suffering with the eating disorder rather than the injury being the result of an accident.

The caption alluded that Kate’s injured fingers, which were seen bandaged multiple times on account of a ‘trampoline mishap’, were a tell-tale sign of her suffering from something much sinister.

“Is Kate Middleton battling bulimia? She’s been seen again with bandages on her fingers! On October 4th she was fine; on October 5th, not so much. This clearly isn’t another “trampoline mishap” but something much more serious! #KateMiddleton #PrincessofWales #RoyalFamily,” the post was captioned.

Comments under the thread elaborated that the signs on her hands indicated that the Duchess of Cambridge would partake in ‘induced vomiting’.

“It appears to be Russell’s sign – a symptom of bulimia. The likelihood of the same fingers being hurt in separate incidents within a month is very small. The injuries are most probably related to induced vomiting,” one comment stated.

“Her fingers are probably sore from the acid that is produced from the vomit when she makes herself sick!” another pointed out.

“Apparently she did it as a precaution not to further injure them at the wheelchair rugby event, however it seems rather odd that after 3 weeks she’s not healed!!!,” a third pointed out.

If true, Kate would not be the first royal to undergo the disorder as Princess Diana famously opened up about her own journey battling bulimia.

As per Andrew Morton’s 1992 biography the late Princess of Wales first began her battle after marrying King Charles Charles.

“The bulimia started the week after we got engaged and would take nearly a decade to overcome,” she said.

“My husband put his hand on my waistline and said: ‘Oh, a bit chubby here, aren’t we?’ and that triggered off something in me.”

For the unversed, the UK’s National Health Service states that bulimia is “an eating disorder and mental health condition which involves the individual eating a lot of food in a very short amount of time (binge eating) and then make themselves sick” so that one does not gain weight.
