A mental health counselor assigned to a school in Greenville, South Carolina, is accused of sexually abusing a juvenile, according to Greenville police. Police say on April 17 a juvenile reported that they had been sexually abused by 42-year-old Christopher Haines. Police said it was then discovered that Haines was responsible for the welfare of the juvenile. On Friday, Haines was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct towards a child, third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, criminal solicitation of a minor and first-degree assault and battery.Police said Haines is a mental health counselor employed by South Carolina Department of Mental Health and was assigned to work at the West Greenville School.Police said the incident did not happen at the school.
