Jazz Fest food vendors are teaming up with Ochsner to provide healthy food options at this year’s festival. The festival is known for delicious foods like crawfish bread, sno-balls, mango freezes, and Crawfish Monica. This year, Ochsner’s Eat Fit team has worked with vendors to provide nourishing options that are health-conscious. Some Eat Fit options available at Jazz Fest this year include poulet fricassee and jama jama from Bennachin, crab ravigote and crawfish remoulade from Papa Ninety Catering, vegetarian red beans from Burks & Douglas, veggie tacos from Carmo and many more. Those attending the festival can look at vendor menus and find the Eat Fit seal beside health-conscious options. “Just like New Orleans, Jazz Fest is almost as famous for the food as the music, and in 2024 we’ll have more than 200 dishes to choose from,” said Jazz Fest producer/director Quint Davis in an issued statement. “Thanks to Ochsner Eat Fit for making sure festivalgoers looking for the healthiest items on the menu know where to find them.” Festival goers can also download the Eat Fit app for a list of options broken down by vendor.
